The HOA Board recommends that letters of protest regarding the pending water rate increase by Aqua Texas be written to the City of Brazos Bend secretary so a hearing will be held. The rates could result in more than a 50% increase. At this time we are uncertain as to what options there will be at the hearing, but the rates will go into effect on March 11, 2011.

Letters of protest should be written as soon as possible from those within the City of Brazos Bend to:

This is a sample letter:

Dear Mr. Walton, I would like to protest the water rate increase proposed by Aqua Texas and request that a hearing be held.
